PRIMVS AVGVSTVS

VAE VICTIS!

Ave!

Rome was not made in a day so let's go through time ...
Competition day, VII players, III tables at different times and IV games to play.
Caesar vs. the Gauls, Rome against Pyrrhus, Carthage.

All roads lead to Rome, and this is the orad I take with my pikes for my first battle
against Serge and Christophe.

En face, les légions sont prêtes.
In front of me, the legions are ready.

I have my army, slow but solid, using the defensive ground, wood and rock ...
and I just wait for an opportunity.

... Who will come in the very last turn, my pikes and elephants, valiant, defeat Rome!

IN FINE...

Effervescence in Caput Mundi ... Pyrrhus approaches
Rome ... and I approach the title!

-----------Deuxième partie : Carthago Delenda Est .-----------

Ave centurion Philus, inspection des troupes.
Ave centurion Philus, troop inspection.

My velites open the way, Roma is in danger.

At the edge of the wood they soon see the enemy...played by Ronie.

Numidian cavalry, Balearic slingers, Carthaginian infantry ... I must stop them!

And this elephant, which soon is projected in my lines, like a fury ...

And my line explodes ! Superb charge of Ronie, who will decide the fate of the battle, , his infantry rush into the breach and I quickly run away!

IN FINE...

The worry is palpable in Rome, the Patricians are
worried ... and me too, I get down in the rankings!

Alea Jacta Est!
It's half-time, two games played, two to play ... Break rules and cervoise. The  draw leads me alongside Alex my Roman ally ... against the Greek Ronie! Alea Jacta Est!

The Greeks read it in the bowels before
the battle, the bravest will win!

Alex and I are fast approaching our legions, our priority targets, elephants ...

A few throws of pila later, the pachyderms will go furious in their own lines, disorganizing the Greek pikemen ... that our legions, not without pain, will beat!

Let's build the Roman camp on the ruins of the Greek hopes and take a well deserved rest before the last battle ...

IN FINE...

At the table next door, the Gaulish leaders against Caesar ...
And Cedric who wins victory over victory.

Opening ... My Balearic slingers harass the enemy from a wood.

Vélites against Numidian cavalry, moves and exchanges are fast ...

... and violent! The clash of weapons is intense ... and the dice are (very) favorable to me against Benoit, Rome is defeated!

I will be able to establish my camp on the banks of the Tiber ...and savor a second place.

IN FINE...

Que cela soit gravé, que cela soit écrit.

Let it be engraved, let it be written.

Marble plaque perpetuating the victory of Cedric ... until the next meeting ... But that's another story!
