Renaissance : le mur ottoman...Renaissance: the Ottoman wall ...

Drum roll, gathering, the Ottoman Empire is upon us!

It all started today with riders scouting.

Then horsemen brandishing banners and shining armor.

In the background the objective of the day: hedges, redoubts, woods ...A wall!!

They even transported mobile shelters with Cossacks!

Many Janissaries, leaning on rugged terrain.

The first shots, bad time for our reitres  in front of the mobile shelters.

And for their first outing, these superb Cossacks are giving us a hard time!

The closer we get, the more we discover colorful colors, heavy guns ...

Our lines are now ready to fight ... Christophe and I are facing the many
Ottomans commanded by Ronie, Benoit and Cédric.

Our artillery offers us heavy support, a few holes in the enemy defense and soon ...

... It is the assault, brutal, violent, the thunder of cannons has given way
to the cries of men, horses, the clash of weapons on the armor ...

Harassed but victorious, I proudly wave our standard, protected by crossbows, muskets, two-handed swords ... and stone walls.

The Turkish first line has fallen, silence dominates part of the battlefield but
anxiety is growing, our losses are high ... Has the enemy bided his time?

In any case it has resources, the courageous heavy cavalry charges and destroy one of our batteries even after a devastating fire, the start of the Turkish reconquest!

And finally, coming out of the surrounding woods, the enemy overwhelms us ...

Even going so far as to attack our riders, our standards are finally in danger,
we must flee on this fatal day ...

Fortunately, no pursuit, standards saved and a rally a few miles away,
for another battle ... But that's another story!

Thank you all for following this first post of 2021, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year, fun and especially with a Covid which is moving away ...
