1380...The tragic fate of Lady Guenièvre ...Le tragique destin de damoiselle Guenièvre.

In the early morning under the shy sun of the autumn, Lady Guenievre's pyre is erected.

Brother Gawain is telling us the story of the day...

This miserable knight has just been spotted, in a dungeon  ...Brave companions, let's free the princess!

Nothing like a few barrels of wine to give courage to my troops ...

Avant d'aller porter secours à Damoiselle Guenièvre, mes soldats font ripaille...
Before going to rescue Maiden Guinevere, soldiers are eating, and drinking...

A little too ... At nightfall some are sick ...

Malgré tout, le lendemain... Nevertheless, the day after...

At the center of our table, the keep ... where Maiden Guinevere is held...Let's start the game!

Bonjour à tous,
Trois.

Hello everyone,
Three. We are three knights who responded to the call.
The dungeon is protected only a few sickly troops ...
The real threat is that we are three.
For a single reward.

Arrival of the armies by the parchments of Brother Gawain ...

The army of Alex the Lame, an army in order, aligned, impeccable.

Mine arrives in a disorderly manner, still in the vapors of alcohol of the previous night.

De son côté Benoit avance prudemment...
For its part Benoit is progressing cautiously...

Tour 2, premiers carreaux décochés...
Turn 2, first crossbow bolts fired...

And many bolts ricochet off the gleaming knights armors .

Damoiselle Guenièvre, au loin, dans les brumes.
Maiden Guinevere, far away, in the mist.

Made bold by the wine, my soldiers are the first to be able to climb the hill,
orders are given to deliver the princess ... who, by far, does not seem so captivated ... Strange ...

I launch my knights on the hill, I must save Maiden Guinevere!

A deal conducted smoothly, we must say that there were only some scoundrels to spit!

Meanwhile, Benoit's troops stay far away from Alex's Arrows wall.

The felon is slain and the girl saved ... But Alex took the opportunity to charge my troops!

Turn 8, while Alex and I are entangled in endless fights ...

... That rascal Sir Benoit gets out of the wood with fresh troops ...

Benoit easily won a first victory, our soldiers harassed by the precedent fights...

Et une victoire en entraînant une autre...

And a victory leads to another ...

Sound the retreat! Too many deaths in my ranks, I'm leaving ... soon followed by Alex!

The Cruel Benoit remains master of the field. He asks a few monks, including Brother Gawain, to accompany deaths in a better world.

A few weeks later the Duke of Anjou Gonzaga collapses, dead, after a banquet ...
This is how Sire Benoit Benoit became Duke.

Mémoires de Frère Gauvain...Memories od Brother Gawain...

Le tragique destin de Dame Guenièvre...
The tragic fate of Lady Guenevere ...

Merci à tous, Thanks everyone!

Phil.

A warm welcome to Doug, Marovian, Anolecrab and ParadoxOn!

  1. Beautiful collection Phil! That model of the stake burning could also be perfect for Jeanne, no? Would have been nice with some noble knights galloping in to save the Maiden of Lorraine :0)

  5. Wow! Great drama to awake to this morning, Homie. Your casting and direction of this plot is worthy of a keg of wine. "dans la trappe!"

And, I am thrilled to see a fearless fat pig at the roasting! (Pic #1).

  9. Fantastic story Phil. Well done! I might suggest you provide less barrels of liquor to your troops in the future... but then considering the final outcome. Perhaps it is best you were not the savior of Guenevere.

  13. Another victory for the dastardly Sire Benoit - I think treachery runs in his bloodline!

Remember, one of his ancestors invited the Danes into France for his own evil purposes...

Nice touch using the Special Effects where the animated Monk is recording what took place.Wish i could do stuff like that.
Those on the tower look as if they are being Vaporized by some Unseen Secret Weapon. Beano Boy
